Example One: Small Informational Site
A client orders a website to meet the following goals:
- Offer presently existing printed materials online, providing more flexibility to the people who seek their services.
- Expand available information from levels currently restricted by printing costs.
- Provide immediate updates via web interface rather than successive printed revisions of brochures.
- Reduce number of phone calls handled by staff by providing commonly requested information on website.
- Furnish an online form to handle information requests via email.

Grand Design proposes to meet these goals with the following project estimate, as discussed with the client:
- Use a simple, text-based menu design, providing clear navigation to site visitors.
- Use client's current logo, supplied in hard copy via US Mail, on the website's home page. No custom graphic work will be required.
- Proofread client's content materials supplied in digital format. Make necessary grammatical and spelling corrections, and format to the site design.
- All photos supplied by client in digital format, with backup hardcopy materials sent for reference. Use Adobe Photoshop to correct any photographs for lighting and color for best appearance on typical computer monitor.
- Ten text-based pages to contain all submitted materials and photographs (in addition to the Home page.)
- Set up and configure a custom form allowing visitors to request various printed materials using a drop-down menu.
- Use of several small Javascript files to add some specific activity to the site, particularly a time clock and event calendar.
- Assist client in obtaining a webhosting account; domain name already acquired by client.
